The Bologna Society
Why was the Bologna Society formed?
The Bologna Society was formed to fund ongoing capital improvements while avoiding a large capital campaign.
How has the Bologna Society used the money it has raised?
Alumni involved in the Bologna Society raised over $140,000 in two capital campaigns that fixed major problems such as removal of the asbestos tile replaced by ceramic tile and the perennially leaking bathroom. Since then, in just two years, the Bologna Society has generated over $20,000 for continual capital maintenance.
Who determines how Bologna Society money will be spent?
The Epsilon-Mu Foundation is responsible for maintaining the house and will make requests to the Bologna Society for the use of these funds. Bologna Society funds just completed replacement of the roof and construction of a dormer over fire escape from the third floor. Upcoming needs include an integrated smoke detection system, back-yard fence, concrete repair on the patio, and replacement of the hot water heater.
