Since the dawning of our Fraternity, the heart of Kappa Sigma has been led by Four Pillars, which guide our ambitions and underpin our successes. Striving for excellence in Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship and Service produces Brothers who are involved in all aspects of campus life; who excel academically as students and professionally upon graduation; who develop lifelong bonds with those around them and who support their peers; and who serve their colleges and communities. Becoming a Kappa Sigma provides the framework to build yourself into the man you want to be.
Looking to enhance your college experience? Kappa Sigma makes it happen! Joining Kappa Sigma provides opportunities for fellowship, fun, and personal growth that you cannot find anywhere else on campus. Over 280,000 men have enjoyed the unmatched experiences, involvement, and lifelong brotherhood that only Kappa Sigma can offer. There is no secret… our purpose is to build better men.
Take the lead. From the start of our BIA for Pledges program, Kappa Sigma teaches our brothers to get involved on campus and in their communities. When something needs to be done, Kappa Sigmas step up and take the lead. Countless brothers, including senators, governors and CEOs, have attributed their leadership skills and success to Kappa Sigma.
Your primary purpose at The University of Tulsa is to further your education. From its earliest beginnings in Renaissance Italy, Kappa Sigma has promoted scholarship among its members. Since its inception, over $4.5 million in scholarships have been awarded by the Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund to undergraduate brothers who excel in academics, campus involvement, and leadership. In our own chapter, older brothers are there to help you learn about the campus, give advice about courses and professors, and help you master those difficult topics.
Service to others is an integral part of what it means to be a Kappa Sigma. Our brothers spend thousands of hours working in our communities and raise thousands of dollars for worthy causes each year. Our local charitable organization of choice is the Little Light House and at the national level, we support the Military Heroes Campaign. College is so much fun, but nothing feels better than knowing you are making a difference to others!
