Kappa Sigma Shows Out at TU Day of Service

On March 30, 2019 the University of Tulsa held its annual TU Day of Service. The Day of Service is a nationwide day of undergraduate and alumni volunteering that celebrates university spirit and service in the community. The University of Tulsa Alumni Association Chapters and Clubs are partnering with a philanthropic organization in their community for a day of volunteering.

As one of the only fraternities on campus this weekend, Kappa Sigma showed out in force! Thirty-One Kappa Sigs took over at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma where they were able to assemble over 4,200 bags of food for food insecure children in our community.

"As one of the pillars of Kappa Sigma, service is paramount to who we are as gentlemen. It feels good to know that we were able to create positive change in our community by packing over 4,200 after school snack bags for our local food bank."

The Day of Service is a longstanding tradition at TU that allows undergraduates and alumni to show that they are #TrueBlueTU. Graduating Senior, Matt Gibson ('15), added the following: "As one of the pillars of Kappa Sigma, service is paramount to who we are as gentlemen. It feels good to know that we were able to create positive change in our community by packing over 4,200 after school snack bags for our local food bank."
